Muscular System, Anterior

Artwork with the muscular system which proves that the bare minimum can get it exactly right!

Artwork gives clear identification of the muscles and this is the anterior view version of our series of two Muscular System artworks; click here to view the posterior version. The muscular system is composed of specialised cells called muscle fibres. Their predominant function is contractibility. Muscles, attached to bones or internal organs and blood vessels, are responsible for movement. Nearly all movement in the body is the result of muscle contraction.
