This Care Statement poster highlights a playful truth about parenthood: while children often see their dads as superheroes, the human body still experiences strain, fatigue and the gradual wear that comes with everyday life. Carrying children on shoulders, lifting prams, bending, twisting and spending long hours playing on the floor are joyful parts of parenting — but they can also place unexpected demands on the body. New fathers quickly discover that shoulders, backs and knees sometimes feel older than they expected.

The typography of this artwork intentionally fades as the list of joints continues downward. The gradual fading illustrates the concept visually: the small physical complaints that often accompany daily life are easy to overlook, even though they affect how the body moves and functions.

Displayed in treatment rooms, reception areas or consultation spaces, the poster adds humour and warmth to the clinical environment while gently reminding patients that caring for the body is important at every stage of life — even for superheroes at home.
