Smartphones have become a constant part of daily life. From messages and emails to social media and news, many of us spend hours each day looking down at our screens. This common habit has introduced a new postural challenge often referred to as phone posture or forward head posture. When the head moves forward and the neck bends downward for prolonged periods, the load on the cervical spine increases significantly. Over time this can contribute to neck tension, shoulder strain, headaches and general postural fatigue.

This Care Statement poster highlights the issue with a touch of humour rather than instruction. The playful message draws attention to a familiar behaviour — liking and sharing posts online — while gently reminding patients that caring for their posture may deserve even more attention.
