How do you get patients to think about posture before the consultation even begins? Sometimes a little humour works better than a lecture.
This Care Statement poster uses a playful whisper — “Pssst!” — to create an immediate moment of awareness. Patients sitting in the waiting area suddenly realise that someone might be looking at their posture right now. Almost instinctively, many people straighten up. The artwork turns a clinical topic into a light-hearted interaction. Instead of instructing patients, it gently nudges them to notice their own posture. This moment of self-awareness often becomes a natural starting point for conversations about posture, ergonomics and everyday movement habits.
Poor posture is extremely common in modern life. Long hours at desks, smartphones and sedentary routines can place increased strain on the spine, shoulders and neck. Over time this may contribute to discomfort, muscle imbalances and reduced mobility. Raising awareness is often the first step toward improving posture and supporting long-term musculoskeletal health.
Displayed in waiting rooms, reception areas or treatment rooms, the poster adds humour and personality to the clinic environment while subtly reinforcing an important clinical message. The clean typography and relaxed photography follow the recognisable educare.design visual language, allowing the artwork to integrate naturally into modern healthcare spaces.
