What’s Temporal Sphenoid?
The temporal sphenoid line is a bony ridge that runs along the temporal bone and connects with the sphenoid bone. It serves as an anatomical landmark and plays a role in the attachment of certain muscles and ligaments. The temporal sphenoid line can be used to help identify and understand the relationships between different structures within the skull. The TS-Line also helps clinicians assess the position of anatomical structures in relation to the skull base and the orbit, aiding in diagnoses related to orbital fractures, tumors, or other abnormalities. It’s also utilised in planning interventions involving the maxillofacial area, ensuring precision in alignments and measurements during surgeries.
