What’s Thoracic Vertebrae?
The thoracic vertebrae are a group of 12 bones located in the middle part of the spine, between the cervical and lumbar vertebrae. They are larger than the cervical vertebrae but smaller than the lumbar vertebrae. The main features of the thoracic vertebrae include a larger spinous process that angles downward, ribs articulation points called costal facets, and transverse processes with facets for rib attachment – all identifiable elements that are clearly presented on this beautiful artwork!
