Fibromyalgia with Tender Points and Symptoms.
Depicted on the sculpture Oceanus by Pietro Bracci
From the “Renaissance Collection”. Numbered points indicate posterior and anterior locations, including the identification of associated meridians. Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition characterised by widespread pain, fatigue, sleep disturbances, and cognitive difficulties. Fibromyalgia is believed to involve a combination of genetic, environmental, and psychological factors. Treatment options may include medication, physical therapy, and lifestyle changes to manage symptoms and improve overall quality of life.
The design has intentionally been set up as a classic renaissance art poster that only on second glance reveals itself as educational anatomy and physiology artwork. The visibility of the numbered indicators has furthermore been minimally designed to advance this deception.
