Scoliosis
Scoliosis is when your spine curves sideways. Instead of being straight, it has a “C” or “S” shape. This condition can start in childhood or the teen years. Many times, the cause is unknown. It can be due to genetics or abnormal growth. Scoliosis can cause postural imbalances. When your spine is curved, it may lead to uneven movement. You might notice one shoulder is higher than the other. Or, your hips may not line up correctly. These changes can impact how you move and even how you feel. You might experience pain or discomfort in your back, shoulders, or neck.
