Controlled Physiology
The chart above illustrates the regulation of bodily functions by the central nervous system through signals transmitted by spinal nerves, which are listed on right side of the design. These nerves originate from the spinal cord and carry sensory information from the body back to the brain, as well as motor signals from the brain to the muscles and organs. The spinal nerves play a crucial role in coordinating voluntary and involuntary movements, as well as transmitting sensations such as touch, pain, and temperature.
